General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a gastroenterologist and plan for an endoscopy to look for any lump or growth in the throat or upper part of the esophagus (food pipe).

Other possibility is acid reflux.

As of now antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole can be taken for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
