About a week after gallbladder removal surgery, I cannot eat, drink, or even swallow my own saliva without immediate stabbing pain around my sternum. I feel I need to burp but I cannot. It s a severe stabbing pain and has been going on for about a month now. It s much worse as I m eating. It s immediate. As soon as I take a sip or bite. Just swallowing anything. There is no burning sensation. It honestly feels like a severe need to burp, yet I never can. I ve tried all otc meds for gas, heartburn, indigestion, and acid reflux and none help at all. Again, it hurts as soon as i swallow anything. Even my own saliva. I am miserable. What could it be?!
