What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Food And Pain In The Chest?
Sir my father have blockage in his food pipe he feels difficulty during swallow some times he feels pain in his chest and some times swear hiccupshis age about 72 his weight nearly 67kg but he is active he didn t have any vomiting i want to know what the reason of blockage what type of treatments should be given to him please tell me i shall be very thankful to u for this kindness.
Hello, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details, it is very difficult to say exactly what may be the cause for that kind of a blockage. If he has been eating and drinking normally otherwise, then there is no reason to worry. But if his food intake is affected as well as fluid intake also, then it is better to consult a near by surgeon or a gastroenterologist. Hiccups happen if there is any irritation to the throat. It usually stops. Unless it is continuous going on for hours or more, then one needs to get it checked. Best is to consult a local near by doctor. Thaks
