What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Food?

lately I am having problems swallowing-getting food all the way down my throat .I have to drink a good bit of water to lodge the food to go on down. I am also having a dull aching in my back between my shoulder blades. I am a 65 year old female. I take medicine for high blood pressure and thyroid

It is very likely that you are suffering from a dry mouth, it can be due to the medicine induced, mouth breathing, undiagnosed diabetes mellitus, salivary gland damage etc you need to visit a dentist with the medicines you already taking, get a physical examination of your mouth done.
