What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing With Hoarse Voice?
I have had two falls in the past two years and now there is a problem with burping related to swallowing and at times my voice becomes hoarse and I seem to run out of the ability to talk. Also medications cause the soft palate to drop. Could the vagus nerve be traumatized? Barbara

Please mention what trauma you had and as your symptoms suggest you could be having a nerve invovement.
