Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Medication Can Be Suggested To Trapped Vagus Nerve
my husband was taken to emergency last night they said he had a trapped vagus nerve. He had excessive vomiting and diarhea, he was also going into unconciosness, this happened about 5-6 times. Whilst in the hospital they took blood and discovered he had a high potassium .
High potassium is not related to the vomiting and diarrhea. The loss of conscience could be related to low blood pressure, due to dehydration. For this reason, I recommend taking plenty of fluids and stay at bed rest. a food intoxication or gastro-enteritis could mimic this clinical situation. You should discuss with his doctor on the above issues.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
