What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing?

I have mild asthma and dust mite allergies otherwise healthy. I frequently feel there is a lump in my throat. I have no difficulty swallowing and have no actual lump as checked by my doctor. I am taking zenhale puffer for asthma and claritin some of the tme. interested in knowing if this lump is related to my allergies or to asthma or to both and how. thanks/

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

We need to know if you have an esophageal stricture or not. Since you have stricture you there will be difficulty swallowing. It could have happened due to any condition. That has to be sorted out first. We can treat you only after diagnosis. Without any reports or investigations or examinations, it is difficult for us to tell you anything here. But I am sure it can be sorted out if you go for examination to any doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
General Surgeon
