What Causes Difficulty In Urinating After Receiving Botox Injection?
I have had a botox injection for incontence and since the injection on 10/3 have not been able to empty my bladder without catherization which I am now doing at home. My question is why and how long does this last? My doctor doesn t seem to have the answer as he says he has no other problem with this issue. Thank you Susan Light
Botox injection is used for overactive bladder it will act by relaxing bladder muscles and sphincter muscles so after injection of Botox common side effects are not able to completely empty urinary bladder it require self-catheterization temporarily as the effects of Botox will go away the muscle will act normally and you will have again normal tone and power of muscle so you will empty bladder without catheterization but it will take time so no need to worry and acupuncture may help but no idea about it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
