Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 5 month child had difficulty in urinating and he urinated in drops. For the past two days he was suffering from constipation also. From today morning he was crying continuously.i have given him little amount of carrot juice only which is raw and gave him ragi in fluid consistency. After i gave cyclopam because my family doctor told me to give this whenever he cries continuously in rare case. But now he has vomited everything he has intaken from moring and sleeping.he has never vomited like this before. Am so worried. What should i do next. Kindly help me
It would be best to take him to be seen by a pediatrician who will be better to assess him and determine the next step in assessment and treatment. The difficulty urinating my be related to fluid intake or it may mean that an infection or blockage is present.
He may need imaging to determine if there is any obstruction. Fluid replacement would help to give him back the fluids that he loses with the vomiting. He should be okay once he is properly assessed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
General & Family Physician
