What Causes Difficulty In Urinating?
I have had increasing urinary issues over the past several years. I rarely have a good stream, it is usually dribbles and lately I have difficulty starting the urination process. When I feel the urge I better get to the BR soon or I will leak- usually only a little ( maybe a teaspoon but occasionally a lot.) Sometimes I feal as if I am not emptying as I have the urge to go again shortly with only minimal results. I do not think I have a bladder infection and have had a negative urinalysis. I also have chronic constipation and sometimes need to push on my perineum to get the stool to move. Should I see my PCP, who has ignored it for the past 3 years, a gyn or a urologist. I am 71 yo.

I would like to tell you , when u hold Urine for long , or you have high urge to urinate then most likely you take a moment to urinate in a flow, sometimes you urinate in after small small pauses.
You need to check with you if you r drinking plenty of water but urinating less then you need a urgent consultation with a urologist , because it can be some blockage in urethera, dehydration or acute kidney injury.
