What Causes Difficulty In Urinating?

I am having trouble urinating for the last few weeks. I feel as though I need to go but have a really hard time getting started and continuing to urinate. Three weeks ago I had a 4 cm (the biggest polyp my doctor said she had ever seen) that was pre-cancerous. There was some cancerous tissue outside of the polyp that she scraped off during the procedure. Could that have anything to do with the urination issue now? Thanks, Yvonne

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You may be having urinary tract infection. Get your urine tested. If there is an infection, you need to take a course of antibiotics like tablet Norflox or tablet Septran Ds for one week and also syrup citralka 5ml three times a day for one week. You will be better. To know whether the polyp has got anything to do with, you need to follow up with your gynecologist and get examined.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sanjay Kini
