General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Wine being sn alcohol... increases urine production... leading to distended bladder... while enlarged prostate hampers drainage of urine... so there is distension of bladder with difficult urination.
Increasing dose of terazosin may not help. You need to get catheterized & flow the treatment advised thereafter. Please consult the treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
