What Causes Difficulty In Urination While Suffering From Diabetes?

I suffer from Diabetes, type 2 and it is normal for me to get up often at night to urinate but of late I have been having some difficulty there. I am wondering if it is kidney stones. It is not the pain of a urinary infection. I just feel the need and it is so darned hard to pass the water.
