What Causes Difficulty In Waking Up In The Morning?
For a couple of years now, I ve had extreme difficulty waking up. It s not that I lack motivation. I want to get up every morning when my alarm clock goes off, but it feels like I m not in control of my own body. No matter what my attitude is or how many hours I have slept I can t get out bed unless I wake up naturally. I ve tried melatonin, a set sleep schedule, leaving my blinds open to wake up to natural light, and having others wake me up but regardless mornings still leave me half asleep for hours after I get out of bed. When I do get to naturally wake up I sleep anywhere from 10-16 hours, but then remain awake for at least another 12 or 14 before I can fall asleep again. Have you ever heard of anything like this?
