What Causes Difficulty In Walking On The Heels While Treating Herniated Discs?

I have had problems with 4 herniated discs about 4 years ago. I had two months of physical therapy and was able to go back to work and have been fine. About three weeks ago, I started with the same problems. I am currently going to therapy and I go back to the doctor next week. One of the things I cannot do is to walk on the heels of my feet. what would be the reason(s) for that?
