Hello,
You are suffering from difficulty taking deep breaths, it is called
dyspnea. Dyspnea is commonly caused due to anemia, high altitude, carbon monoxide exposure, obesity, vigorous exercise, etc. Medical conditions that can cause dyspnea are asthma,
pneumonia, COPD,
hypertension, CAD, arrhythmias, etc.
Get clinically examined by a GP and get chest X-ray, electrocardiogram,
spirometry, blood tests, echo, CT, comprehensive pulmonary function tests, ventilation/perfusion scanning, stress tests, etc., done. If obese consider losing weight and get the detected medical conditions treated at the earliest. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected.
Quit
smoking and stay away from addictions if any. Avoid environmental triggers like allergens and toxic air. Avoid exercising too hard and avoid hiking at high altitudes.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
