What Causes Difficulty With Speech And Arm Pain?

My friend woke up and his hand is drawn and he can t manipulate it or make a five or move individual fingers. His right arm can be moved, he hasn t noticed any drawing of the mouth or difficulty with speech. He is a smoker-heavy. Should he go to an ED for a possible clot?

I can understand your concern.
Since he is heavy smoker, we should definitely rule out stroke (clot in brain vessel) in his case.
So better to consult neurologist and get done clinical examination and MRI brain.
If MRI is normal then no need to worry for stroke.
But tell him him to quit smoking as soon as possible.
