What Causes Dilation Of Eyes?

My eyes have been dilated for the past two days and I am not sure why. I am not on any medication and I did not have them dilated at an eye doctor. I do work overnights and have two young boys so do not get much sleep at all. I have also had shaky hands. Trying to understand what may be going on

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think that the high anxiety levels are causing tremors in your hands and dilated pupils. As you have mentioned that you are working overnights, not getting proper sleep and have 2 kids to care for, it is most probably the stress and anxiety which is making your adrenaline levels rise.

I would recommend you to rest properly, get at least 6-8 hours of sleep and try to to relax. You could meditation, yoga or walks to calm yourself down. I would definitely suggest you to get your eyesight tested in case if this problem doesn’t resolve with the above measures.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
