My daughter that is 12 tried to catch a ball that was high in the air (volleyball) and it hit her hard and made it go back she was looking up Said the back of her head hurt and her pupils are dilated should I give her ibuprofen. She is not throwing up ml
When there is a head injury, pressure builds up inside your brain. This pressure can damage the muscle in your iris which makes your pupil open and close.
Your pupil may remain fixed in the dilated position. Please consult an ophthalmologist who may opt for surgical intervention.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
