What Causes Discoloration And Tenderness In The Finger Nail?

Hi, I had discoloration in my finger nail from one day to another. I went to the dermatologist and he said that because it was not in the root that it was likely just a bruise. However, now the color has changed to a lighter color but there is tenderness associated with it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should get re-examined by a dermatologist and surgeon to check it's conditions. Possibly you may need to remove it surgically. Infection may be possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
