What Causes Discoloration In Scrotum With Pain Around Groin Area?

I have not had any surgery or any thing but my scrodum seems to have turned blackish. I have had a fungal issue before several years ago. I also have developed pain above the groin area and I have had kiddney stones before. I am drinking tons of water today but the scrodum had me concerned.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have discoloration in scrotum with pain around groin area. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to condition known as acanthosis nigricans , caused by elevated insulin levels , also some medications cause the condition as a side effect, including those that regulate hormone or cholesterol levels and systemic corticosteroids, darkened skin results from other medical conditions such as Addison's disease or pituitary or thyroid disorders. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination and also to rule out condition like cancer . Doctor may order certain test and treat accordingly . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti fungal , hydrocortisone or retinoids . For noe keep the area clean and dry , apply kojic acid crean twice a day and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
