What Causes Discoloration In Semen Post Intestinal Surgeries?

In the past 5 months, I have had 2 major surgeries. The 1st was the removal of most of my large intestine, the 2nd was to reconnect my small intestine to the section of the large intestine that remained. When my wife and I had intercourse for the first time since the 1st surgery, I noticed that my semen was kind of a brownish yellow. Any idea what could be causing the discoloration? I believe the discoloration could be the result of blood?

Hello,

The discoloration of semen may show presence of blood. It can be either because of s communication between prostate and intestines or metastasis in the prostate.

Your medical history is a bit complex so you should get further evaluated. Do a prostate ultrasound.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
