What Causes Discoloration In The Eyes Of A Child?

Hi, my 5year old son s eyes turned brown. The white part of the eyes. Have been buying eye drops at the pharmacy even took him to an optometrist, both advised that it could be an allergic reaction or infection. Its been months now and they are still brown. What could be the cause and what other options do I have.

Hi,
Additional to the information you offer us here, it would be advisable to know which eye drops are being used in your kid. Additionally, I would like to ask just to confirm: are you mentioning that the white part of the eyes turned brown? Or the change in color was in the iris (the colored part of the eye)? In my experience, an infection that lasts several months wouldn't present with this finding. I'll wait for your answers in order to consider which are the remaining options.
I find this answer helpful
