What Causes Discoloration Of Sore Throat After Using H2O2 Solution?

I had a ssore throat and blister type things in my throat. So I gargled with Hydrogen Peroxide and water and then stupidly decided to put some just Hydrogen Peroxide on a Qtip and dap the sore in my throat (more side palate area). Then the sore turned white and it is still sore. Did I damage the tissue and how long till it is back to normal?

Hi.
Hydrogen peroxide is always used very diluted in water to the tune of 4 tsf added to a glass ( 200 ml) water for gargles and this is the best, safest and cheapest way to cleanse.
Well you have caused a scald ( burn) due to direct application.
It will take 3 days to 10 days depending upon the depth of scalds.
Gargle with plan water do not use chemical gargles. Avoid too hot and too cold foods and beverages, take liquid diet and clean the oral cavity clean with plane water. This will heal fast. Do not worry.
IF the healing is not seen within a few days consult an ENT or oral surgeon.
