What Causes Discoloration On Skin While On Plaquenil?
Hi, I went off my plaquenil because it caused my skin to discolor so bad as I live in a very warm and sunny client. My doctor would like me to go back on since he put my on zeljanz and he said plaquenil does a lot of other good stuff like lower cholesterol..is that true? What can I do about my skin? Does the benefits outway my side affects?

Yes, Plaquinil has a side effect that may lead to photosensitivity and increased pigmentation of the skin mainly on sun exposed areas. Use sunscreen cream over sun exposure areas. Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
