What Causes Discoloration On The Teeth?

Yesterday i noticed a lot of sudden discoloration on a whole bunch of my teeth - a brownish color. i haven t changed my brushing and mouthwashing habits recently, although i did just recently move into a new apartment. i have no idea why all these teeth are now discolored. j

Hi.

Thanks for the query.

Brownish discoloration of the teeth is most commonly due to staining of teeth.
It can be due to a number of factors like improper brushing technique, excess intake of tea, coffee, tobacco chewing habits or smoking habits, taking iron supplements, dry mouth etc.
So you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and if there is staining then a full mouth scaling and polishing can be done to clear off the stains.
Also you will be demonstrated a proper brushing technique.

The underlying cause of staining will be ruled out and will be eliminated to avoid further frequent staining of teeth.
