Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past two weeks or so now I have had solid white stool that is smaller than normal and sinks straight to the bottom. No unusual fowl odor and no stomach pain. Lot of gas and heartburn mainly at night. Been reading about it and seen a lot of commemts that it could be caused by the liver. Could this be the problem or are there other causes?

What Causes Discolored Stools And Reflux?
Hello, White stool indicates absence of bile in formation of stool, usually disorders of liver, bile drainage system blockage or others. It is strongly recommended to take basic lab tests with ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis for further management. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
