What Causes Discomfort And Burning Sensation In Hip After An Injury?

I fell on my rt upper hip 4 days ago. I am able to walk on it with minimal difficulty but it is uncomfortable. I went to my doctor 2 days ago and she prescribed anti-inflammatory medications. No x-ray was done because she said there was no need since I can walk without any problems. The area is uncomfortable with a burning sensation. Should I get an x-ray?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, what you are feeling is due to blunt injury to that region. If you really would had a fracture of anything of that matter you wouldnt even be able to keep a step without pain. It more of looks like injury to surrounding muscles and ligaments and not any type of fracture. Kindly continue with anti inflammatory meds and painkillers if necessary. But still if you want to be totally sure about fraxture, you can always get a xray done just to be sure there is nothing in it. Thank you
