What Causes Discomfort And Fullness In The Scrotum While Having A Cyst?

I had a routine physical exam about a month ago. Doctor said I had a cyst in scrotum and said to come back in 6 months. Since the prostate exam I ve had discomfort pressure and fullness in scrotum area. I think is prostitus caused by exam. Ive had this discomfort a couple of times over last 5 years or so and it goes away on its on. Is that possible way to get prostitus?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per your description it seems like you are having an epididymal cyst in the scrotum. It is nothing but a benign (non cancerous) without much clinical significance. You can show go for a surgical excision as it can be done easily without much complications. Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly. An ultrasound scan may be needed prior to the procedure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
