Hi, thank you for trusting Healthcare Magic.
I understand your concerns and I hope this explanation can help you.
Since you are undergone
Cholecystectomy, maybe you are at risk of some complications after
laparoscopy. The main disanvantages of
laparoscopic surgery is a higher risk for injury to the bile duct. This might be one of the possible causes of pain or discomfort experiences in that area. The other possible causes are
pancreatitis or gastro oesophageal reflux disease or GERD.
To relieve the discomfort, you can take sucralfat that acts as a protective surface of the
gastric mucosa of stomach. You can take this medicine especially if you want to sleep and after waking up in the morning.
Contact your surgeon immediately if you feel this symptoms:
1. Drainage, bleeding, or swelling at any incision site
2. Pain that worsens or is not relieved by medication and comfort measures
3. A sudden fever
Hope this helps.
Take care...
