What Causes Discomfort In Chest While Exhaling After Quitting Smoking?
Hi, I have COPD and Asthma. I have smoked since I was 13 yrs. old (48) years. I quit smoking 4 weeks ago. Since then Every time I exhale (it feels like down the centre of my chest and across the bottom of my lung bubbles and rattles, it can be heard also). I m on Advair 500, Bricanyl, Singular and Spiriva. My puffer really don t do much. Would a lung flush help? I just don t want to make things worse.
You could have fluid collection and infection in your lungs on top of the COPD and Asthma. You will need to be examined by a doctor and prescribed appropriate antibiotics and other medicines to clear the fluid and infection. You may also need nebulization for faster relief of symptoms. Avoid cold and do steam inhalations 3 times a day. Drink hot fluids. Avoid smoking at all costs. Take care.
