General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
I feel there is need to change the antibiotic after getting full investigation (physical exam. to assess the primary lesion causing lymph node enlargement followed by its treatment CBC, X-ray chest). If possible and needful doctor may perform aspiration fluid culture and sensitivity test. Choice and dose of suitable antibiotic along with anti-inflammatory drugs would solve your problem. Consult your physician.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
