What Causes Discomfort In The Back While On A Detox Diet?

Hello, I am doing a 20 day Dherb cleanse of only raw vegetables and fruit and last night while trying to sleep I felt twinges like a needle but not as painful in my right mid section of my back. It keeps happening out of no where. Does this mean I am not drinking enough water?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The pain may come due to increased kidney work eliminating many toxins and salts. Keep in mind to drink a lot water to help detoxification. Some fruits and vegetables and nuts such peanut, spinach beets, and sweet potatoes are rich in oxalate and favourite kidney stones and pain. Don't use too much of them.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
