What Causes Discomfort In The Ear After An Injury?
Sir I got slapped on right ear last night, when I got hit it was painful after few minutes . I noticed that air was coming from the ear.,today I m not having pain and I can hear properly but the air issue isn t going..it feels like air passing through my ears that makes my listening weak
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain ear ache along with air leaking out of the ear after getting slapped on ear seems to be due to eardrum perforation..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like otoscopy, x ray etc can help in diagnosis..
He can be advised antibiotic and analgesic ear drops along with oral antibiotics and painkillers if the perforation is small and healing will take place but if there is large perforation Tympanoplasty that is surgical repair of eardrum will be done..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
