What Causes Discomfort In The Left Ankle While Walking?
noticed my left foot/ankle is not working as unusual. Has come on in the past 2 months. I usually walk about 6 miles a week. Noticed when I walk my left foot flops to the ground and is not a normal step. Its been getting worse and I am just starting to trip because it does not clear the ground. Tonight I sat in a chair and had both feet on the ground in front of me and tried to raise my toes so only my heels were on the ground and my right foot rises very high but can not lift my left foot off the ground. what is going on?
Hello, This is called foot drop. It can be caused by problems in the nerves, muscles or spinal cord. You need to see your doctor as soon as possible so that the cause can be found and addressed before this becomes permanent. Regards
