What Causes Discomfort In The Legs While On Trimethoprim?

i am taking Trimethoprim for an e-coli kidney infection for six months for some reason my musccles are starting to give me a lot of problems in my legs and behind would this have anything to do with this antibiotic? I do sit a lot at work. I have been on this for 3-4 months now

Hi,

Trimethoprim is an excellent antibiotic for kidney infections, however there is no any documented or reported side effect of this drug which could cause problems in leg muscles.

I would suggest to continue trimethoprim as advised by your doctor, and try to change position at work if that helps. If the pain persists, I would advise to visit your doctor.
