What Causes Discomfort In The Lower Abdomen After Consuming Wine?

i am post menopause age. recently i have been consuming like a bottle of red wine a day for about a month. Of late i find that i am having slight discomfort on my lower abdominal area and having whitish/slightly yellow discharge. I have decided to stop drinking and see whether it will help. is this the cause of my lower abdominal discomfort and vaginal discharge?

Hello,

You may be having a pelvic inflammatory disease or cystitis or urinary tract infection etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Get an ultrasound abdomen, swab culture and microscopy.

Use cap. Doxy twice a day for five days, tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician/ gynaecologist she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
