What Causes Discomfort In The Lower Abdomen After Insertion Of A Copper IUD?
Hi so I have had a Copper iud put in place two years ago and since February I have had my period everyday it just doesn t stop more days are heavier then other days. I feel fluttering in my lower abdominal region and higher up under my ribs no sickness no pain. Also I can still feel the iud string. is there a chance I could be pregnant? or something else? maybe menorrhagia?

Slight abdominal discomfort is common with IUD Including copper-T.
If symptoms persist, better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. We have to check whether the device misplaced or not.
