What Causes Discomfort In The Stomach And Head After A Long Flight Journey?
I ve had a weird head sensation this last week. I had a long flight two weeks ago and for the following 5days I had a nervous stomach feeling. This subsided but this past almost week I ve had a weird head sensation. It s not painful or anything it just feels as if I can feel something sitting atop of my head/brain. It went away for nearly one day but has resurfaced. It is ok when I sleep or lie down but in general I know it s there the rest of the day. Any help would be great. I am a nervous flyer but in general not an anxious person so surely it is not that
Based on the history you have shared, these symptoms can be due to jet lag, and may resolve in few days but if persist, may need a detailed neurological examination to rule out any focal neurological deficit.
Sometimes transit ischemic attacks may be triggered by long flights if patent foramen ovale is present and any thrombus can go upto brain circulation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
