What Causes Discomfort In The Throat While Swallowing Food?

Something feels off about my epiglottis. This usually happens when I eat something, especially spaghetti. It feels like something is stuck in between my epiglottis and throat for some time. When I look in the mirror my epiglottis looks kind of crooked. When I eat spaghetti, I feel the spaghetti I m swallowing sort of get stuck and I can feel it along my throat. When this happens I just have to swallow a couple more times and it goes down. This doesn t happen with a lot of foods and I ve only experienced it three times in the last month and a half. Should I go seek my doctor to see if something is wrong?

Hello,

Your throat may be getting irritated while eating spaghetti I think.

It may be due to pharyngitis or allergy also.

So better to avoid spaghetti or consult your ENT specialist he will examine after spaghetti intake then he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
