Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there :) experiencing a lot of discomfort at the TOP of my stomach where it s uncomfortable to sit and my bra pushes in to it making it worse:( I know I have some small stones/sludge and wonder if the gallbladder is acting up FINALLY? We have a lot of gallbladder and appendix stuff in our family. If I put my fingers just below my breasts and in the middle at the upper part of my stomach it hurts. This has been happening for a couple of weeks.
I can certainly understand your concern towards your abdominal discomfort, there is a possibility that this could be most commonly due to burning sensation or gastritis, which you can get relief with omeprazole medication, but it is not advisable to neglect other causes with strong family history of gallbladder and appendix problems, so its better to go for ultrasound abdomen and necessary investigations ie CT, blood tests ,ERCP(Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) to reule out any pathology, consult your doctor for further guidance
hope this information would help you.
please post your further questions if any thank you
