What Causes Discomfort In The Vaginal Area Despite Taking Monistat?

I ve recently experienced some discomfort. I thought it could be a yeast infection so I tried a one day monistat treatment. Usually when I have a yeast infection this works. However I still have the discomfort. My stool has also turned green for over 3 days. I feel fatigued and at work it s almost as though I feel chilled and light headed.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you get a pap test done to determine the type of vaginal infection. Fungal infection is a common infection. However, other infections like bacterial vaginosis can also occur.

Green colored stools could be due to gastrointestinal tract infection. I suggest you get a stool examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
