What Causes Discomfort In Throat While Breathing?

I have had horseless in my voice for awhile now that comes and goes with no explanation for it. No yelling or anything. Occasionally I feel like there is swelling in my throat and when I take a deep breath it feels strange.
I should see my primary doctor adapter?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of discomfort in throat while breathing which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection, post nasal drip, and acid reflux.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist if he/she find problem to be related with upper respiratory tract infection. For now do warm saline gargles and maintain oral hygiene. You should avoid eating spicy and heavy food specially at night. You should take proper course of antibiotics to subside infection. Avoid intake of cold beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
