What Causes Discomfort On The Left Side Of The Neck After An Injury?

I was messing around with some people yesterday afternoon and attempted to do a backflip bc someone else did one. I ended up landing on my back on playground material so it didn t really hurt but today the muscle in the left side of my neck has been bothering me. Should I be worried?
