What Causes Discomfort Under The Rib Cage Along With Back Pain?

I have been dealing with a slight discomfort under right rib cage on and off for about a year. It seems lately it s been more constant and more back pain as well, more like out of alignment. I had an abdominal X-ray done and it came back negative. I have always had lots of gas and bloating. It feels like I have a tennis ball shoved up under rib cage a lot of times. I still run 2 miles, 3-4 times a week with no problems.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The pain you describe is likely to be due to indigestion with gas filled intestines under the diaphragm. Liver problem specifically gall bladder / spondylitis of thoracic point need to be excluded as other possibility by direct physical examination; an MRI is needful. Consult your family physician for primary evaluation & referral to specialist if needed.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
