What Causes Disorientation After Stopping Amitriptyline?

Howdy: I am dealing with my 95 year old mother. She was living alone and after a few mishaps, we had to go get her. Upon getting her medicine updated, I noticed she was prescribed Amitriptyline, Spironolactone, and Losartan Potassium. I am concerned that this might be too much for her. I held back the Amitriptyline. But, she has been disoriented in her thinking and speech as of late. Do I need to go ahead and give her the Amitriptyline?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I think she has electrolyte imbalance due to which she is disorientated. Try to correct electrolytes. Asses sodium potassium., and other elements. And correct it
