What Causes Disorientation Of The Jaw Towards The Left Side Of The Face?
I woke up this morning and my jaw is stuck on the left side of my face and I have a pulling feeling as if sum thing is pulling my face to the left. Can t open my mouth enough to to eat a sandwich.I ve bin grinding my teeth for years but wear a bite guard always when sleeping.Just wondering if maybe TMJ has set in. Any help would be appreciated . Thank You.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of disorientation of the jaw towards the left side of the face when you woke up up in morning seems to be due to temporomandibular joint disorder and it could be due to your chronic activity of clenching of jaws and grinding of teeth. Stress could be major factor for your condition.
I would suggest you to visit dentist/oral surgeon once and get it examined thoroughly. You should go for OPG if necessary and start treatment accordingly. As it is related to joint you should do mouth stretching exercises. You should go for muscle relaxants along with painkiller medications. TENSphysical therapy will be very effective for you.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Harry Maheshwari
