Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband just had cardiac ablation (#2) on Thursday followed by cardiac conversion for uncontrolled tachacardia a fib on Friday. Now he gets very dizzy with minimum movement. We live in a two story home. He had to stop half way up the stairs he was so dizzy. when he made it all the way up, I took his pulse rate on my phone app it was 49 (and it took it nearly 45 seconds to read). What should we do? It is Sunday night. Can this wait until the morning for us to call cardiologist?
Any history why he had tachycardia, for which he went cardiac ablation? Anyway now he is having bradycardiaheart rate is low. If he is feeling chest pain or very dizzy take him immediately to ER. He is on medication?
He must be on anti arrhythmic drugs. If you give particulars we can tell which medicine to stop or reduce dose to increase heart rate. Have BP monitor check BP and Pulse Hourly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. C. Elanchezhian, General & Family Physician
