Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My friend had a heart attack about 2 months ago and had stent put in. He has been dizzy walking for few weeks and tired. He saw a doctor at a medical centre yesterday who said his heart was not pumping right as it was lazy. He said come back in week and he will see what they should do with him. He is worried this meant he is going to die soon and is giving up. What can I tell him to ease his anxiety with this.
It might be due to the Medicine prescribed after heart attack. Almost all can cause low blood pressure as these work to decrease load on heart to give it time for recovery. Also that, if low pumping of heart had been reason as he is worried about that would have presented with increasing body swelling and severe shortness of breath and inability to lye down and in absence of all these it's less likely due to that. Hopefully his heart function would not be much compromised and will get better too.
Wishing him a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
