What Causes Dizziness After A Physiotherapy Session?

After having physical therapy for a wrist break I began to feel very dizzy. I had electric stim on my left wrist and it was stronger than normal. This is abnormal. I ve had numerous pt sessions with elec stim and this has never happened. I am very healthy...no hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, etc. This is quite unnerving.

Hello,

I do not think the physical therapy session has any direct link to the dizziness. Dizziness has many different causes, but none related to a peripheral nerve, responsible centres are located in the brain.

One explanation would be stress and anxiety due to the stronger than normal stimulation that you describe. Otherwise, other causes should be sought like inner ear issues which are the most common cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
